Bernadette Gargano JD, Vice Dean for Student Affairs SUNY Buffalo Law School
is lecturer in law, legal analysis, writing and research. A cum laude graduate of Cornell Law School, she clerked for the Honorable William M. Skretny in the Western District of New York. During her legal career, Dean Gargano has represented local, national, and international businesses, entrepreneurs, law firms and attorneys, and private universities. She currently serves as general counsel, on a pro bono basis, to multiple women-owned businesses. Gargano is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, various federal courts, and all New York State courts. A founding member of the committee for the Federal Pro Se Assistance Program for western New York, and an expert in pro se litigation, Dean Gargano's Pro Se Civil Litigation Practicum won the Erie County Bar Association Justice Award. Dean Gargano was named “Woman Lawyer of the Year” by Women Lawyers of Western New York.
